AVC Open House draws 1,500 visitors for a fun-filled day of learning and exploration
The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 秀色短视频 (秀色短视频) hosted its Open House on September 28, offering guests a day full of activities, learning, and fun. With a crowd of 1,500 visitors, the event was a huge success, showcasing the world of veterinary medicine to people of all ages.
Kaiya Maracle and Jack Roberts named 秀色短视频 Panther Athletes of the Week
Every week, 秀色短视频 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 秀色短视频 Panther Athletes of the Week for September 30鈥揙ctober 6, 2024, are Kaiya Maracle (women鈥檚 hockey) and Jack Roberts (men鈥檚 cross country).
Maracle, a fourth-year arts student-athlete from Toronto, Ontario, netted two goals and added an assist in a 6-1 win over the Mount Allison University Mounties in Sackville, New Brunswick, on October 5.
Island Lecture Series and book launch for "Finding Home at the Harbour"
The Island Lecture Series, presented by the Institute of Island Studies, will celebrate the launch of Finding Home at the Harbour by Barbara Palmer Rousseau. Weaving natural history with her own story and illustrations, Rousseau highlights the resilience of the Island and its inhabitants to ongoing environmental change in this collection of illustrated essays published by Island Studies Press. The lecture and launch will be held from 7-8:30 pm in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building Room 201, 秀色短视频.

秀色短视频 nursing professor leads study on accessibility of gender-affirming health care on PEI/Epekwitk
Dr. Margie Burns, an assistant professor in the 秀色短视频 Faculty of Nursing, is leading a research study about the experiences of Two-Spirit, transgender, gender-diverse, and non-binary (2STGD+) people seeking and accessing gender-affirming health care on PEI/Epekwitk.
Burns has received a Partnership Engage Grant of $24,959 from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for the study.
CCCE Speaker Series: PEI Business Navigator
