New Managers Certificate

Overview: Our pre-eminent professional development Certificate program, the New Managers Certificate, is designed for participants who are new to the manager/supervisor role or aspire to be a manager/supervisor.

In the New Managers Certificate, the following topics will be explored in-depth:

  • Personal leadership styles
  • Communication
  • Strategic thinking
  • Change management
  • Performance management
  • Creating effective teams
  • Managing conflict
  • Cultural awareness in the workplace

After the completion of the New Managers Certificate, participants will have the tools, techniques, and confidence to provide effective and inspired leadership within the workplace.

Designed for: People who have just become a manager or supervisor, or are interested in becoming a manager and/or a supervisor, within either the public and private sector.

Type of Delivery: In-person or virtual.

Duration: Eight courses for a total of forty-eight hours. If conducted in-person – eight modules over eight days. If conducted virtually – eight modules over sixteen half-days, with each day lasting three hours.

Cost: $2,500 for the entire certificate; $449 plus HST for a one-day course.
