Members of the campus community joined Dr. Greg Keefe, ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ’s interim president and vice-chancellor, and ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ student Antwaun Rolle to raise the Flag of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ in observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3.
Veterinary students from the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ (ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ) won five awards at the 2023 American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Animal Welfare Assessment Contest.
Twenty groups of fourth-year ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ nursing students in the Nursing and Population Health 4010 course have been working with agencies across PEI this semester to create innovative projects and programs to promote health and wellness. The students will present their work to their community agency partners and guests at a population health project showcase on December 5, 2023, from 2:00–4:00 pm in McMillan Hall in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.
The Honourable Diane Griffin, alumna, honorary degree recipient, and retired senator, has been unanimously elected as the 10th Chancellor of the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ for a four-year term.

ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ celebrated the 12th annual MacLauchlan Prizes for Effective Writing on Friday, November 17. The awards were presented to recipients, acknowledging their effective writing skills, which are the foundation of academic success and lifelong learning.
ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports over the previous week. The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Panther Athletes of the Week for November 14–20 are Devon Lawlor (women’s basketball) and Kamari Scott (men’s basketball).
