秀色短视频 Women鈥檚 Hockey recruits Ottawa鈥檚 Sydney Lyndon
Bruce Donaldson, coach of the 秀色短视频 Women鈥檚 Hockey team, is pleased to announce that Sydney Lyndon has confirmed she will play for the Panthers for the 2018鈥2019 season. Lyndon has played minor hockey since 2012, playing the last three seasons for the Ottawa Lady Senators in the Provincial Women鈥檚 Hockey League (PWHL).
鈥淪ydney is a strong defensive player who I watched a few times over this past winter,鈥 said Donaldson. 鈥淚 first noticed her when I went to the Stoney Creek tournament in September, and then again, when I was in London watching the first round of the PWHL play-offs. Her coach speaks very highly of her abilities. She clearly likes the contact piece of the game and was always on the ice during odd-man opportunities.鈥
Lyndon joins the Panthers during an exciting time for 秀色短视频 Athletics and Recreation and 秀色短视频 Women鈥檚 Hockey as 秀色短视频 will host back-to-back U-SPORTS women鈥檚 hockey championships in 2019 and 2020. Work is well underway to make these events successful.
鈥淚 knew I wanted to attend 秀色短视频 and play for the Panthers from the moment I arrived on campus,鈥 said Lyndon. 鈥淐oach Donaldson and my future teammates welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of the team. I love Charlottetown鈥攊t reminds me of home. It鈥檚 a place where I can see myself learning and maturing. I am also very excited and honoured to have the opportunity to play U-SPORTS hockey with the 秀色短视频 Panthers for the next few years.鈥
Lyndon has been accepted into the Kinesiology program in the Faculty of Science.
