Week Fundraising Luncheon. Please join us for an internationally themed
luncheon with a keynote by the Honourable Mobina S. B. Jaffer, Senator for
British Columbia.
This event will take place Friday, February 8, 2013, 11:30 am in McMillan
Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre.
Tickets are $35 each, or $250 for a table of 8, and are available by

A portion of every ticket sold will be used to raise funds for the Dr.
Vianne Timmons International Student Award. We are also pleased to be
introducing a silent auction component to the annual event, featuring a

In response to feedback from a survey conducted with administrative
professionals this past fall, the Centre for Life-Long Learning has
launched a new professional development certificate program.
The Administrative Professional's Development Program is designed for those
who have been working in the administrative professional field and have
found gaps in their skills, need to update their skills as a result of a
change in their job, or simply want to enhance their knowledge and skills. The
program begins March 7, 2013 and includes courses on Understanding Change,
Time Management and Planning, Essentials of Workplace Writing, Conflict
Resolution and Communication Skills to Handle Difficult Conversations.
Note: The deadline for CUPE 1870 Professional Development applications is
February 1, 2013. Information can be found on the HR forms webpage.
