Background: | Stanley Irwin Buell and Helen Elizabeth (Kent) Buell retired to Stratford, Prince Edward Island after many years of living and travelling around the world. Stan is originally from Parkdale, PEI and attended secondary school at Prince of Wales College and post-secondary school at Saint Dunstan's University prior to pursuing a career in engineering. Helen is from Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, and was a successful teacher in Halifax when she and Stan met. Stan and Helen enjoy a common love of all things artistic and cultural. Their home reflects an eclectic style and their passion for art and culture is reflected in the welcoming environment they have created. Helen has a particular passion for music, and she and Stan attend many concerts and recitals at the university. As well, they both have a deep appreciation for the healthcare available on Prince Edward Island, and the professionals who work diligently to ensure the health of our community. As a component of their intention to give back to Prince Edward Island, they have established awards at Holland College, and planned gifts for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the PEI Community Foundation. They are furthering their immense generosity to the Island through the establishment of these new awards for 秀色短视频 students. In February 2022, Stan and Helen committed to establishing a third award for a returning nursing student and revised the criteria for their existing nursing award given during convocation week. |
